Sydenham-Hillside Primary School has a compulsory school uniform. All children are expected to wear a uniform daily. Appropriate footwear should be worn, with toes being enclosed. Thongs and shoes with heels are not appropriate.

From 1 September until 30 April all children must wear a hat and sunscreen. Wide-brimmed or Legionnaires hats are acceptable, but as baseball caps do not offer sufficient protection, they are not acceptable.
