The Year Five team at Sydenham consists of five classes.

In Year 5 the major focus is on enhancing and improving Literacy and Numeracy skills whilst developing the whole child. It is the aim of the Year 5 teachers to provide the children with many different experiences to assist them in their overall personal development.

The teaching and learning focus is on implementing new techniques and further enhancing already acquired knowledge and skills. Personal development is focussed towards increasing student’s self confidence, preparation for leadership, taking on more responsibilities and preparations for transition into Secondary College.
