The Prep team at Sydenham consists of six classes.

In Prep, we aim to develop the oral language skills of all students through our ‘Developmental Play’ and ‘Perceptual Motor’ program. The children will build on their reading and writing skills and engage in real life learning experiences in conjunction with the Early Years of Literacy program and the THRASS program. The children will also increase their knowledge of mathematical concepts with student focused activities and concrete materials. We encourage students to participate in various incursions and excursions as a basis for their learning in the classroom.
